ABOUT MY EAST AFRICAN SOKO
My East African Soko (myeasoko) platform is a product of the East African Business Council (EABC) that seeks to leverage digital technologies (web portal, mobile apps) to support the recovery, build resilience and drive future growth of Small and Medium Enterprise’s (SME) where traders, service providers from across the region can interact and access requisite business information and expand their markets
Additionally, My EA Soko aims to profile youth and women businesses and provide more market access to the youth and women across the EAC and to promote women and youth participation in Intra-Regional Trade and explore the full benefits of Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
My East African Soko is supported by the International Trade Centre (ITC) through the One Trade Africa Program
ABOUT EAST AFRICAN BUSINESS COUNCIL
The East African Business Council (EABC) is the regional apex body of Private Sector associations and corporates in the East Africa with a single purpose of driving the East African Community integration process through trade and investment. To achieve this EABC works with the public sector, East African Community (EAC) institutions, the academia, and the business community to unlock economic potential through increased physical access to markets, enhanced trade environment and improved business competitiveness.
EABC works with the major stakeholders such as the EAC Secretariat, Organs, Institutions and National Governments and provides input in policy discussion while advocating for the implementation of resolutions at the national level aimed at increasing intra-regional trade.
